This year, the Strategic Forum focuses on the future and the challenges posed by geopolitical tensions, economic volatility, rising inequalities and climate change. Particular emphasis is placed on how Europe can strengthen its role in global governance and maintain its commitment to multilateralism.
The conference addressed the challenges of strengthening global governance, promoting strategic sovereignty and building trust in an increasingly polarized world through strategic dialogue and innovative ideas.
Prof. Dr. Salecl participated as a speaker on the panel “The Demise of Democracy – Are We There Yet or Just Well on Our Way?”, where the panellists discussed the state of current democratic systems, which require more and more attention. Globalization limits the effective functioning of democratic systems, which is also reflected in the lack of informed decision-making by citizens.
