How does law adapt to rapid technological development? How does artificial intelligence shape and dictate the development of military technologies? Where to draw the line between technological progress and digital violence?

We will seek answers to these and many other questions at the Autumn School: Law before the challenges of the digital (r)evolution, which will take place on Thursday, 20 November 2025, at the Faculty of Law, University of Ljubljana. This year’s program will be particularly diverse, as it will combine current topics of law, artificial intelligence, space technologies, ethics, and new forms of (in)visible surveillance:
Panel 1: AI, Military and Surveillance (moderator Prof. Dr Aleš Završnik)
Panel 2: Star Wars: Space, Harm and Conflicts (moderator Iva Ramuš Cvetkovič)
Panel 3: Gender, Discrimination and Digital Violence (moderator Manja Skočir)
Panel 4: The challenges of regulatory sandboxes for artificial intelligence (moderator Asst. Prof. Dr. Maša Kovič Dine) – panel will be held in Slovene
