As part of the ERC Sentrix project, a workshop dedicated to the decision-making architecture in sentencing will be held in Bled from November 12 to 14, 2025.

Discussions will focus on the factors that shape the environment in which sentencing decisions take place (including, for example, institutional arrangements, the role of various stakeholders in the process, professional habits and narrative frameworks) and how these influence decision-making itself.

Instead of classic panels, the program will be designed in the form of interactive thematic sections with short introductory contributions and joint discussions. Special attention will be paid to younger researchers, who will present their early research ideas, dissertation designs or conceptual approaches within the so-called Research Refinery and receive constructive feedback.

The workshop in Bled will be the first event of the Sentrix project, which will bring together researchers from different countries and disciplines with the aim of connecting and strengthening research directions in the field of punishment.
