We are pleased to announce the Congress of Criminal Law and Criminology 2026, which will take place on 21–22 May 2026. This year’s congress will span two days and will address several current issues in criminal law, criminology and related social challenges.

The planned panel topics include:

• Human trafficking and vulnerable groups: legal, victimological and broader social perspectives
• Fundamental questions of criminal law
• Domestic violence – roundtable discussion
• The Act on Urgent Measures to Ensure Public Safety: from necessity to unconstitutionality?
• Technology, social harm and surveillance

The congress is organised by the Institute of Criminology at the Faculty of Law Ljubljana and the Faculty of Law, University of Ljubljana.
