Dr Renata Salecl, a senior researcher at the Institute of Criminology at the Faculty of Law in Ljubljana and an internationally renowned sociologist and philosopher, recently met with students and academics at the Faculty of Communication of Üsküdar University in Istanbul.
The discussion was moderated by Dr Koray Kırmızısakal from the Department of New Media and Communication (English programme). During the event, Dr Salecl presented four of her books that have been published in Turkish and spoke about central themes of her work, including ideology, freedom of choice and anxiety in contemporary society.
The event attracted significant interest among students and academics, with around 150 participants attending.
