Renata Salecl kot osrednja govorka na odru
This week, researchers from the Institute of Criminology – Marko Balažic, Dr Eva Bertok, Dr Lora Briški, Lovrena Jeromelj and Dr Mojca Plesničar – participated in the 2026 Stockholm Criminology Symposium, where they presented research on:
  • Stalking as a form of domestic violence
  • Sentencing practices in sexual offence cases
  • Prosecution of human trafficking
The symposium highlighted the work of this year’s Stockholm Prize in Criminology recipients, Dr Charis E. Kubrin and Dr Mark W. Lipsey. Their research underscores the importance of evidence-based criminal justice policy: Kubrin’s work challenges common assumptions about a direct link between immigration and crime, while Lipsey’s research demonstrates that effective rehabilitation programmes can help reduce reoffending and support successful reintegration into society.
