At the 42nd Annual Meeting of VITEL – the Slovenian Electronic Communications Society, held on 29 May 2026 as part of the 41st Workshop on Telecommunications, Prof. Dr. Aleš Završnik, Director of the Institute of Criminology at the Faculty of Law Ljubljana delivered a lecture about the role of artificial intelligence in the operation of key state systems.
Participants also discussed the impact of emerging AI technologies on the security, resilience, and reliability of these systems. The discussions also highlighted the importance of aligning technological development with the Republic of Slovenia’s and the European Union’s strategic priorities and regulatory frameworks.
