Jot down – interview:

Our researcher, Dr. Renata Salecl, spoke to the Spanish magazine Jot Down about the impact of social media and artificial intelligence on democracy and human rights, as well as populism, neoliberalism, and the growing role of emotions in politics.

In the interview, she argues that algorithms are reshaping public dialogue and that the ideology of unlimited choice often reinforces feelings of anxiety and individual responsibility for broader social problems. She also emphasizes that human rights, critical thinking, and dialogue remain essential foundations for addressing global challenges—from the climate crisis to rapid technological change.

The interview, published in Spanish, is available here.
