Research network FRANET

ABOUT THE PROJECT

The Institute of Criminology at the Faculty of Law in Ljubljana and the Peace Institute jointly participate in the FRANET research network as contractual partners of the European Union Agency for Fundamental Rights (FRA), which established the network. Within this framework, they are responsible for collecting relevant national data and providing research services in areas covered by the FRA’s mandate, including equality and non-discrimination, racism, asylum, migration and integration, border and visa policy, children’s rights, data protection, and access to justice.

Research tasks and data collection activities are carried out in response to ongoing requests from the FRA. Since 2023, the Peace Institute and the Institute of Criminology at the Faculty of Law in Ljubljana have collaborated in preparing national contributions and conducting research assignments within the FRANET network.
