How has the number of fatal road traffic accidents changed over the years? Which administrative unit recorded the highest number? How did the number of cases related to cocaine change between 2014 and 2024? Which parts of Slovenia recorded the highest number of domestic violence offences, and how many thefts were recorded in your administrative unit?
Graph: An interesting insight provided by the IK Data Hub is also the comparison of traffic safety between individual administrative units. In the period 2005–2024, the Administrative Unit of Postojna (99) and the Administrative Unit of Sežana (69) had the highest number of participants in fatal traffic accidents per 10,000 inhabitants.
The answers to these and many other questions can be explored through the IK Data Hub – a new online platform developed by the Institute of Criminology at the Faculty of Law Ljubljana for exploring, comparing and visualising crime and road safety data collected by the Police. The platform allows users to explore data by different characteristics, including the type of offence, year, sex and age of offenders, administrative unit, and other selected indicators.
The IK Data Hub is intended for researchers, educational institutions, journalists, policymakers and anyone interested in exploring and better understanding crime and road safety in Slovenia.

The platform is currently available in Slovenian, with an English version currently under development.
