SAFE-NET: Safeguarding Access to Justice for Women and Girls Victims of Cyber Sexual Violence

ABOUT THE PROJECT

SAFE-NET addresses a critical protection gap for women and girls affected by cyber sexual violence (CSV) by strengthening safeguards and promoting victim-centred, trauma-informed, and gender- and age-sensitive approaches across the justice system.

Implemented in Greece, Bulgaria, Romania, Slovenia, and Portugal, the project brings together key justice professionals to strengthen their capacity to respond effectively and sensitively to cases of cyber sexual violence, while fostering closer cooperation across sectors and borders.

Victims-survivors are at the heart of SAFE-NET. Their voices, experiences, and needs will inform the project’s approach and contribute to the development of more responsive and effective justice practices.

Through knowledge exchange, professional capacity building, awareness raising, and stronger cooperation, SAFE-NET aims to improve justice outcomes for victims-survivors and support more consistent and coordinated responses to cyber sexual violence across Europe.

Building on strong institutional partnerships and complementary expertise, SAFE-NET will develop sustainable and transferable resources and practices that will continue to benefit professionals, institutions, and victims-survivors beyond the lifetime of the project.
