Yesterday, we held a consultation at the Institute of Criminology at the Faculty of Law in Ljubljana as part of the targeted research project Challenges in Prosecution of Human Trafficking in Slovenia, with the aim of formulating more comprehensive proposals for improving practices and legislation in the detection, prosecution and trial of human trafficking crimes.

The research team members presented the preliminary results of the project and discussed with the participants the gaps and challenges that the authorities face in practice. Part of the conference was also dedicated to an open discussion and exchange of opinions between experts from different fields – both within the justice system and beyond.

Sincere thanks to all participants for your contribution and engagement.
