Matjaž Jager
Researcher
Matjaž Jager is a Senior researcher at the Institute of Criminology at the Faculty of Law Ljubljana and a Full Professor at the Faculty of Law, University of Ljubljana. He served as Director of the Institute of Criminology from 2004 to 2019 for three consecutive terms. After receiving his Master of Law degree from the University of Ljubljana and the University of Illinois (LL.M.), he was awarded his S.J.D (University of Ljubljana) and his Master of Philosophy degree from the same University. His most recent book, written in Slovene and published in 2019, is Primer Eichmann in Kantova etika (The Eichmann Case and Kant’s Ethics).
Research interest
Crimes of the powerful, ethics and (criminal) law, philosophy of deviance, criminology of the state of exception.
